Join to apply for the Food Runner - JOEY Valley Fair role at JOEY Restaurant Group Base pay range $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr Location: San Jose, California (first location in San Jose; expansion details per job posting) Overview The Food Runner delivers food orders from the kitchen to service staff, supporting front-of-house operations and ensuring smooth workflow between kitchen and dining staff. This role works closely with kitchen and service teams to provide excellent guest service with warmth and care. Responsibilities Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen/expo line to service staff in the appropriate dining area. Navigate stairs safely and efficiently when carrying dishware and glassware; may include trays. Follow all food service safety precautions and procedures. Basic Qualifications No experience necessary. Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits. Possess a passion for hospitality, a professional demeanor, and an ability to work well in a team setting. Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Must be able to climb and descend three flights of stairs (approximately 30 stairs) frequently throughout an 8-hour shift.
