Technology Support Specialist

Salary: $43,680 - 52,000 per year Requirements:

• We manage, troubleshoot, and repair a growing fleet of Google Chromebooks.
• We oversee the day-to-day operations of the high school student technology support team.
• We process warranty claims and repairs for district-issued Chromebooks.
• We maintain accurate inventory records for devices.
• We generate invoices for non-warranty Chromebook repairs.
• We work closely with the high school student tech team to ensure timely device repairs and excellent customer service.
• We respond promptly to help desk requests and phone calls and document resolutions accurately.
• We collaborate with IT colleagues to communicate clearly and resolve outstanding issues effectively.
• We provide strong customer service through email, phone, and in-person support.
• We help distribute support issues and requests across the team to balance workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• We evaluate and test new hardware and software systems.
• We escalate unresolved issues to tier 3 support staff.
• We resolve issues escalated by tier 1 support staff.
• We ensure escalated issues are completed and customer care standards are met.
• We provide on-site support to users as needed.
• We train IT staff on new or existing hardware and software.
• We perform other duties assigned by the IT Leadership Team.

We are Franklin Township Community School Corporation, and this is a full-time, in-person classified, non-exempt, hourly position for a 1:1 Support Specialist. The role supports our expanding Chromebook environment and the student technology support team at the high school. This position is scheduled for 260 days per year and offers pay of $21.00 to $25.00 per hour.
