Mental Health Associate I - Linden Oaks Hospital/Adolescent - Day/Evening Shifts

Hourly Pay Range $24.86 - $37.29. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights Position: Mental Health Associate I Sign on bonus: N/A Location: Linden Oaks Hospital, Naperville, IL Part Time/Full Time: Full Time (40 hours) Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM A Brief Overview The Mental Health Associate I provides direct patient care to patients with mental health disorders. The role includes treatment planning and implementation while facilitating groups within assigned treatment programs, ensuring patient safety and well‑being, maintaining a safe environment, and documenting care according to department and organization procedures. What you will do Facilitate didactic, educational and unit/program community groups, encouraging patient participation in therapeutic activities and supervising to ensure safety. Provide one‑to‑one supervision, conduct unit rounds, and complete precautions records in real time. Orient new patients to the unit, program, and milieu, establish rapport, and provide hand‑off information when transferring patients. Participate in treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team, identifying patients' problems, needs, and strengths, suggesting plan modifications, and contributing to discharge planning. Complete patient, program, and department documentation. Perform various clerical and administrative assignments to support department operations. Monitor and report patients' progress, communicating information to the charge person and family members. Education and/or Experience Required Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health related field, no previous experience required. Bachelor's Degree or higher in a non‑Behavioral Health related field, with a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience. Maintain information as highly confidential. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision. Education and/or Experience Preferred Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology. Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living. Prior experience with therapeutic limit‑setting and milieu management. Licensure and/or Certification Required Valid driver's license if selected to work off‑site; if using a personal vehicle, maintain required automobile liability coverage and provide proof upon request. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire. Current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
