Snowflake Data Modeler

Title: Snowflake Data Modeler Location: Buffalo, NY(Remote) Job Description:
- 7+ years of experience in data modeling with at least 4+ years working with Snowflake
- Strong expertise in dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, third normal form (3NF), and denormalized structures
- Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Snowflake.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio
- Translate business requirements into efficient and optimized data structures and schemas.
- Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to align models with ETL/ELT pipelines and integration strategies.
- Define and manage data modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation.
- Develop data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and data lineage artifacts.
- Ensure data models are optimized for performance, storage, and maintainability in the Snowflake environment.
- Understanding of Azure cloud platforms
- Partner with BI/Analytics teams to support reporting and dashboarding needs.
- Participate in data governance and data quality efforts across the organization.
