Precision Grinder - Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Outer Diameter (OD) and Inner Diameter (ID) grinding machines to achieve precise specifications (e.g., Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati, etc.)

• Work with various materials, including tool steel and heat-treated alloys.

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and job orders.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges, to perform in-process quality checks and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as necessary.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications We're Looking For

• Minimum 3+ years of experience setting up and operating OD/ID grinders (e.g., Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati, etc.).

• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and achieve a specified surface finish.

• Strong understanding of conventional grinding techniques, wheel selection, and dressing.

• Excellent blueprint reading skills, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school certification is a plus).

• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
