Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

This position supports the staff, instructors and operations of the College & Career Readiness (CCR) program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain a positive, professional image of College & Career Readiness. Provide customer service, in person and by phone for college staff and the public. Provide secretarial functions, including answering phones, filing, proofreading, sorting mail, copying and word processing/correspondence Set up meetings, including room reservations Order program supplies, as needed Support instructor and staff activities, as requested

UNIQUE FUNCTIONS

Input CCR student information into the college database Create and mail invoices for third-party billing Receive, submit, and track payments of CCR billing statements

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED

Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred) Possess excellent customer service and communication skills Work effectively with staff and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Ability to adapt to frequent change Ability to manage conflict in a courteous and professional manner Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE PREFERRED

Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.) required.

EDUCATION
