Data Governance and Stewardship Lead - JJMT Electrophysiology

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology seeks a Data Governance and Stewardship Lead to develop and operationalize data governance frameworks in a regulated healthcare environment. This Irvine-based role involves implementing policies, designing automation workflows, and enabling compliant access to clinical and commercial data assets.
Responsibilities
- Implement and operationalize data usage policies, access controls, and stewardship requirements across data inventory
- Design and develop automation workflows applying data access and usage policies to governed data holdings
- Collaborate with business and compliance teams to embed governance standards across enterprise data landscape
- Co-lead implementation of audit workflows and development of metrics to measure compliance and governance effectiveness
- Coach junior team members on governance processes and mentor colleagues on best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, information systems, engineering, or life sciences
- Minimum 3 years of data governance experience in highly regulated industries
- Proficiency with data governance technologies for stewardship, quality, lineage, and access management
- Experience building and governing data platforms and pipelines using cloud technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Preferred: MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences background
- Preferred: Experience with clinical data, regulatory frameworks, or audit/validation workflows
