Make a difference every day in the lives of kindergarten students by providing vital support as an Intervention Specialist. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours in a vibrant educational environment, where your expertise in special education will have a meaningful impact. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 27, 2027, allowing you to build professional relationships and foster student growth throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Ohio certification/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with multiple disabilities
- Proficiency in writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Comfortable working within resource rooms, small group tutoring, and inclusion classroom settings
- Skilled in collaborating with staff and engaging with diverse populations
What You'll Do:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to students' educational plans
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate each learner’s unique needs
- Guide kindergarten students in both academic and behavioral growth using evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student success
- Accurately track, document, and report student progress in accordance with IEP goals and state requirements
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
