Chief of Staff at Handoff We're hiring a Chief of Staff to serve as the executive arm of our COO and help translate leadership strategy into company‑wide execution. In this role you'll own Handoff's operating system – from cycle planning and KPI dashboards to financial modeling, board materials, and high‑priority special projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, isn’t fazed by ambiguity, and wants to operate at all levels of a fast‑scaling startup. What you’ll do Facilitate Handoff's departmental planning process – driving submissions, tracking progress, and holding teams accountable Maintain and continuously improve company‑wide dashboards, KPIs, and operational tooling Support the COO on board decks, investor updates, and executive materials Build and maintain financial models; help prepare analysis for key business decisions Track departmental budgets and flag spend variances to the COO Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals Codify work norms and operating standards as the company scales Assist with prep and logistics for company all‑hands meetings and recurring leadership syncs Assist with planning & execution of internal events and company off‑sites About you Background in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or an early‑stage startup Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level simultaneously – you can build a board deck in the morning and chase down a contract renewal in the afternoon Financial modeling skills – you build from scratch, not just edit templates Strong written communicator – your memos and decks are clear, tight, and ready to send Experience in high‑growth startup environments preferred What we offer Competitive Salary + Equity Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Life & Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) Top‑Notch Equipment Team Offsites If you're a sharp, hungry operator who wants to work directly with a COO building a company from the ground up — this is the seat.
