Construction Manager

Residential Construction Manager Position Overview KLA Development, Inc, an Ann-Arbor-based design-build company, is seeking an experienced and highly-organized residential Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of residential construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong management and communication skills, substantial construction knowledge, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client expectations while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities · Manage all phases of residential construction projects, including new home construction and remodeling projects. · Develop and execute project schedules to ensure timely completion of work. · Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews. · Collaboration with Office Manager on scheduling, budgeting and client-relations. · Monitor project budgets, approve expenditures, and control costs. · Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with building codes and company specifications. · Review plans, specifications, permits, and contracts to ensure project requirements are met. · Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners and clients throughout the construction process. · Resolve construction issues, schedule conflicts, and project challenges efficiently. · Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records. · Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and internal teams to support successful project delivery. Qualifications Required · Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction management, project management, or a related field. · Strong knowledge of residential building practices, construction methods, and building codes. · Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. · Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. · Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; preferably a truck.
