About the Position

Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience required in an Operating Room setting. License: Active Compact or State License required at time of submission. Certifications: Must have AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Must-Have: Current First Assist experience. Strong experience in Orthopedics, Endoscopy, General Surgery, and ENT cases required. Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will assist during surgical procedures. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR RN First Assist. Current First Assist experience is required. Strong experience in Orthopedics is a must. Experience in Endoscopy, General Surgery, and ENT cases is also required. Call rotation is included, with a requirement to work every 6th or 7th weekend. Floating within scope of practice is required. Scheduled blocked shifts cannot be accommodated. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role involves interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates must be prepared for a fluctuating nurse-to-patient ratio based on census, call-ins, etc. Additional specialization with surgical procedures and current safety protocols is essential.
