Marketing Technology Specialist – Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Sales Cloud

Required Skills and Experience

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in marketing technology and CRM platforms.

• Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce Sales Cloud.

• Experience supporting campaign execution, platform optimization, integrations, and reporting.

• Strong functional and technical understanding of Marketing Cloud development.

• Experience with data management, customer journeys, audience segmentation, and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud and its integration with Marketing Cloud, including data synchronization and shared data models.

• Experience designing subscriber/contact data structures, preference centers, and consent/opt-out management.

• Ability to review technical estimates and implementation approaches and identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.

• Experience supporting campaign reporting, performance measurement, and analytics.

• Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau is a plus.

Marketing and Project Management

• Experience working closely with marketing teams and supporting marketing functions.

• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to collaborate with Marketing, IT, Compliance, and external vendors.

• Experience with vendor management and change management.

• Knowledge of environment governance, audit processes, and platform optimization.

Compliance and Industry Experience

• Experience working in regulated environments.

• Familiarity with privacy, compliance, and governance requirements, including:

  • HIPAA and PHI

  • Consent management and opt-out requirements

  • CAN-SPAM and CASL

  • Data retention policies

• Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences marketing experience.

• Familiarity with HITRUST and, where applicable, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and validated-system requirements.

Essential Skills

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator certification.

• Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant certification.

• Familiarity with Customer Data Platform (CDP) concepts.

• Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and email authentication.

• Strong understanding of campaign performance measurement and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaign execution and development.

• Manage and optimize marketing automation platforms.

• Support integrations between Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

• Maintain data structures, audience segmentation, customer journeys, and preference centers.

• Ensure accurate campaign reporting and consistent performance measurement.

• Review technical estimates, implementation plans, dependencies, and potential risks.

• Coordinate with marketing, IT, compliance teams, and external vendors.

• Support privacy, compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
