Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior AR Specialist to manage a portfolio of customer accounts with a relationship-first approach. This role focuses on account reconciliation, credit management, and process improvement, requiring strong communication and analytical skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely collections and dispute resolution
• Communicate effectively with customers to maintain current account status and build strong relationships
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Accounting, and Customer Service to resolve issues
• Review and assess credit holds to determine order release eligibility
• Conduct onboarding training for new independent contractors and oversee specialized accounts
• Process account offboarding to ensure accurate closure of customer records
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Provide backup support to Credit Department personnel as needed
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, or Credit & Collections
• Credit and collections experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking with the ability to see the bigger picture
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and Word
• Experience with AS400 and IFS is a plus
