Driver License Examiner Assistant

THE POSITION

As a Driver License Examiner Assistant with the Department of Transportation, you will help customers complete important licensing services that keep our roads safe. You will guide people through identification checks, testing, and applications while providing clear and friendly support. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Driver License Center by assisting customers, verifying identification, and helping ensure safe and accurate licensing services. It plays an important role in promoting highway safety and preventing identity fraud. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties: Customer Assistance: Greet customers, verify identification, complete application forms, and provide required informational materials Test Administration: Administer knowledge tests and conduct vision screenings using standardized tools and procedures Data Entry: Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into on-line driver license systems Service Guidance: Respond to questions and explain requirements for services such as REAL ID, CDL, motorcycle licensing, and renewals Document Processing: Issue required forms, produce restoration letters, and ensure correct use of fee waiver codes Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies, report incidents, and maintain a clean and organized work area Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public . Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement .
