Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in circulating and scrubbing for various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, spine, and neuros surgeries. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist in the positioning of patients and ensuring their safety throughout the surgical process.
• Monitor patient vitals and condition during surgery, adjusting medical equipment as necessary.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient operation and patient care.
• Maintain sterile field and implement infection control measures.
• Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately in patient records.
• Participate in on-call duties as needed, including working weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in Operating Room nursing or a combination of OR experience.
• Must possess circulating experience in surgical procedures.
• Scrubbing experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform surgeries independently, especially in orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery disciplines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and demands.

Additional Information

This position requires participation in a rotating schedule, including mandatory overtime as needed to ensure unit coverage. Applicants should be prepared to submit a skills checklist detailing their experience and expertise in the required areas upon application.
