Job Description Assistant Manager You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. You must set the example, follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your crew. Responsibilities Oversee cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Staff scheduling and management. Handle paperwork and administrative tasks. Maintain inventory and food management. Work to a schedule and meet performance standards. Maintain a perfect store image and adhere to company standards. Provide great customer service. Ensure attendance and punctuality of crew. Provide reliable transportation to and from work. Maintain store cleanliness. Assist with marketing initiatives. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Participate in training, orientation, and on‑the‑job training. Communication skills: comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential functions/skills: accurate and quick arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); correct monetary change; verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing; motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for speed and precision; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Additional qualification: Must have shift‑running experience in food and beverage and open availability.
