Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments including taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, and leading diagnostic evaluations to formulate patient care strategies.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures and interventions, collaborating closely with overseeing physicians to ensure safe and effective treatment.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive measures to empower their health journey.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously in our electronic health record system, ensuring accurate and complete patient data is maintained.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in conjunction with supervising physicians and update care protocols based on patient response to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our urgent care facility serves a diverse patient demographic, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. You will be tasked with addressing various acute health concerns, including but not limited to infections, injuries, and chronic disease exacerbations. Your role will be pivotal in understanding and catering to the unique needs of each patient, ensuring that our services reflect the community’s health requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong proficiency in clinical skills, capable of working independently within the scope of practice.

Preferred Experience
