Data Program Deputy Director

Role Description

The Data Program Deputy Director at the Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) supports the strategic direction, management, and advancement of the Board's data and analytics initiatives. This role helps oversee data governance, ensures high-quality and accessible health system data, and works closely with leadership to drive analytic priorities that inform regulatory and policy decisions. The Deputy Director collaborates across teams, manages complex projects, and contributes to a data-driven culture that strengthens Vermont's health care system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in social science, business or public administration, computer science, or related field AND four (4) or more years of experience in data project management, reporting, and analysis, INCLUDING two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.
• OR Eight (8) or more years of experience in data related project management, reporting, and analysis, INCLUDING two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree in social science, business or public administration, computer science, or related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience working on multiple overlapping projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering work products on program deadlines.
• People leader experience within a Health system-focused institution.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience managing multiple types of problems at the same time.
• Experience in Health system technology.

Requirements

• Serves as the Data Program Deputy Director for the Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB).
• Assists the Director in the management, planning, and implementation of strategic, programmatic, and organizational change initiatives.
• Oversees the collection, storage, processing, analysis, and reporting of critical health system data.
• Supports the Director in managing the statewide health system data program.
• Collaborates with the Agency of Digital Services.
• Supports the Director in developing long-range plans and programs related to GMCB goals.
• Works closely with the Director to build Program and project budgets, monitor costs, and facilitate resource allocation.
• May supervise data staff and other program staff.
• Coordinates and collaborates with GMCB and other Program leadership, GMCB Business Offices, State Enterprise Project Management Office, Program managers, and Information Technology Leaders.
