This position will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operations of all restaurant assets in a cost-effective manner, with a strong emphasis on personal organization and disciplined use of the systems and processes bartaco has already built. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will establish and maintain vendor and contractor relations on a national basis. This role succeeds by running volume through systems, not through an inbox.Design, implement, and manage a national facility maintenance and equipment program to achieve cost and service targetsOversee growing multi-state facilities program, which would include possible direct FM and Technician reportsConduct thorough maintenance audits at all restaurants and create a comprehensive facilities databaseIdentify and prioritize restaurant needs and develop an implementation schedule that ensures viability of executionManage a preventative maintenance program for all restaurantsPrequalify, select, and manage suppliers, contractors, and equipment installers capable of providing outstanding service at the lowest cost and highest qualityProvide weekly status and progress reporting to direct supervisors and the operations team, generated from Ecotrak data rather than manually maintained email updatesOwn Ecotrak CMMS as the single system of record: all work orders, invoicing, proposals, and vendor communications are created, tracked, and closed in the platform, not managed through emailTriage all incoming work orders daily; return or reject requests that fall within restaurant level responsibility, with clear guidance so managers resolve simple fixes on site rather than submitting them upstreamBuild and maintain a first level fix guide and training program that equips restaurant managers to handle basic maintenance items before a work order is submitted, with a measurable goal of reducing total work order volumeEstablish and document escalation criteria, response time standards, and an after hours protocol so urgent issues follow a defined path instead of ad hoc outreachAbility to get hands on accomplishing company goals. This role will require 20% hands on and 80% overseeing vendors.Support new unit development and remodel projectsAssist CM with all aspects of new unit development from pre-construction through project close-outAttracts, develops, and manages regional and/or national contractor and vendor relationships that support our restaurant operationsConducts bi-annual vendor audits and site inspections for the purpose of quality assurance on contracted services and general repair of the property.Develops strong relationships with Market Partners and Regional Directors by providing ongoing updates for projects, information on vendor performance, and facilities training when needed.Acts as a liaison on new store turnovers between Construction and Operations.Helps conduct an eleven (11) month punch list for new store openings prior to turnoverPerform all other tasks as assignedRequirements3+ years of facilities, project management, or construction experience, preferably in the restaurant industryMulti-unit experience is a plusExceptional personal organization and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage high request volume through systems and process rather than ad hoc emailProficiency with CMMS platforms required; Ecotrak experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of facilities and construction techniques, methods, and practicesHVAC/Refrigeration knowledge is preferredTravel is required to our restaurants approximately 50% of the time (Washington, DC and North with the possibility of Midwest)This position will have one direct report. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Development + Facilities.
