This role manages all phases of project execution from programming through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full alignment with GSA requirements and objectives.What your day-to-day will look like:Manage day-to-day project activities across programming, planning, design, construction, and closeout phases for GSA projectsServe as primary liaison between GSA and all project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and jurisdictional agenciesEnsure project completion within established budgets, schedules, and quality standardsCoordinate and oversee building mechanical, electrical, and life/safety systems throughout project lifecycleMonitor contractor performance and compliance with GSA specifications and requirementsPrepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and correspondenceConduct site inspections and progress meetings to ensure adherence to project plansIdentify and resolve project issues, managing risk and implementing corrective actionsEnsure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirementsFacilitate project closeout activities including final inspections, documentation, and turnoverRequired Qualifications7+ years of project management or operations and maintenance (O&M) managerial experienceDemonstrated experience in operation and management of building mechanical, electrical, and life/safety systemsExperience managing projects in facilities of comparable size, complexity, and characteristics to GSA buildingsStrong knowledge of construction processes, building systems, and project delivery methodsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentsProficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or related experienceProfessional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or similar)Previous experience working on federal government or GSA contractsLocation: Chicago, IL (on-site; daily; downtown)Additional RequirementsMust pass GSA background check and security clearance requirementsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Estimated compensation for this position:100,000.00 – 120,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
