Social Media Marketing Specialist

We're looking for a social media pro to help drive strategy and content for a major editorial and entertainment brand — spanning digital stories, magazine features, and TV title campaigns across topics like Animals, Travel, Science, History, and Kids & Family content. 3+ month contract, full time hours Onsite M-TH, Remote Fri Washington DC Hourly Rate: $35-40 DOE Responsibilities Support daily social strategy and campaign execution for editorial stories and TV titles Guide creator content initiatives — from ideation through execution — partnering with Content, Marketing, PR, and Creative teams Help produce social-first content, including talent interviews, on-set capture, and live event coverage Build and maintain content calendars and production workflows Support performance reporting and translate data into actionable recommendations Required Qualifications 3–4 years of experience in social media, agency work, or a related field Strong understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, X, Reddit, etc.) Experience creating and/or producing social content, with sharp creative writing skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva; strong Microsoft Office skills A background in editorial, news, or entertainment content environments is a strong plus Bachelor's degree in digital/social marketing, business, journalism, or related field The Solomon Page Distinction Solomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
