Apply today and be more with Baker.Summary The Contracts Administrator II is responsible for providing accurate and timely support to the Contracts Department, including reviewing and finalizing purchasing contracts and creating and finalizing purchasing agreements requested by the internal customer.Roles and Responsibilities The Contracts Administrator II will possess competency in the following areas to perform in a safe, productive, and effective manner. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.Creates and distributes original Purchasing Agreements to internal and external customersResponds to external and internal customer requests for additional information or copies of contractsCoordinates with the Risk Department, Contracts Manager and Operations in connection with the Subcontractors' Indemnity and Insurance requirements on previous fully executed Agreements before distributing to the external customerProvides administrative oversight to the DepartmentServes as back-up to others in the Contracts DepartmentEnsures documents are in compliance with company policies, standards and proceduresManages and issues all Master Agreements and maintains Master Agreement List and FilesPrepares and processes redline corrections on AgreementsRequirements Associates Degree and five year's related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent understanding and experience of Field Operations, procedures, and scope of work Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Excel, Access, Word, and Baker's Document Management Systems and Blue Beam/Adobe Must possess strong customer service skills The following competencies are needed to successfully perform this job: Ability to read, organize, and interpret documents such as contracts, warranties, guidelines, instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to prepare contract correspondence Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to support Project Managers and Operations to ensure the project documents and scope are properly executed Communicates with Baker Operations when reviewing Scope of Work to minimize project risk Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form At Baker Construction, we welcome those who are driven to make things happen.
