Commercial Real Estate Valuation Specialist

Responsibilities A Commercial Real Estate Valuation Specialist’s primary responsibility is to review commercial real estate appraisals and produce restricted appraisals (internal evaluations). The appraisal review process will be performed in conformance with Standards 3 and 4 of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Restricted appraisal reports will conform with Standards 1 and 2 of USPAP. This position requires knowledge of the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines (IAEG), USPAP, and ONB Guidelines and Procedures, as well as general real estate industry knowledge across various commercial property classes. The role demands a self‑directed, goal‑oriented approach, with the ability to make quick, independent decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 per year to $121,300.00 per year. The base salary reflects the compensation range applicable across the United States and may vary based on responsibilities, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. Key Accountabilities Complete appraisal reviews in compliance with USPAP Standards 3 and 4, evaluating methodology, accuracy, integrity, relevance, and reasonableness. Opine on the completeness, accuracy, adequacy, relevance, and reasonableness of appraisals. Understand industry nuances between property types and asset classes. Produce internal evaluations or restricted appraisal reports in compliance with USPAP Standards 1 and 2 and applicable federal regulations. Review and analyze all documentation relevant to the appraisal process, including leases, operating history, contracts, easements, and surveys. Consult with internal clients on appraisal methodology, IAEG, USPAP, and ONB Guidelines and Procedures. Operate independently, solving problems with limited oversight and providing clear communication to vendors and internal clients. Maintain appropriate real estate licensure within ONB’s traditional footprint and pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities. Qualifications and Education Requirements Five years of overall experience in commercial/residential real estate preferred. Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience. Highly detail-oriented with critical thinking skills and the ability to work with limited oversight. Excellent time and project management skills. Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to meet strict deadlines.
