Pharmacy Technicians

The duties of the OMH facility Pharmacy Technician include the following:
Fills and organizes medication carts
Delivers medications to designated units
Delivers medications using medication carts
Receives and stores orders
Monitors inventory levels
Conducts routine checks for outdated or expired medications
Supports the pharmacist in preparing medications for both outpatient and inpatient use
Repackages medications following facility guidelines
Assists with maintain pharmacy records
Cleans and performs basic maintenance on the repackaging machine
Assists with the end-of-day pharmacy closing procedures
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience assisting with the filling under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current pharmacy technician certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or Certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience
Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner.
Perform other reasonably related duties as required.
