Job Summary

Install, program, maintain and repair security alarm wiring and equipment and ensures work is in accordance with relevant codes for SafeStreets and state and local municipalities. Represent SafeStreets professionally in customer homes and businesses, identify customer needs, and support sales activities by educating customers on products and services and presenting available upgrade or additional service options, as applicable.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Arrive at each installation opportunity timely, enhance customer security system by using company confirmed company enhancement process, and perform the installation of related security equipment efficiently according to company best practices as outlined in company training and in the Installation Manual.
• Professionally provide any consultation to customer about additional security needs or concerns.
• Ensure all paperwork/digital confirmation(s) is completed correctly including customer's signature(s) and payment (if required) at time of installation opportunity visit.
• Check in upon arrival at each appointment.
• Once a successful installation is complete, update Salesforce.
• Check out upon departure.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and controls including receipt of, usage of, and physical counts.
• Maintain any and all certifications, licenses, insurance etc. as required.

• Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and emails.
• Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to apply the company's established processes and protocol to respond to and solve customer inquiries.

Skills, Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Must have considerable dexterity in his/her hands, fingers and wrists.
• The job is performed in side and outside of residential homes as well as commercial dwellings and under varying temperature variations, a generally hazard free environment.
• Must have fully operational vehicle use to and from various appointments. Travel can be up to 30% of the work day.

Licenses, Certifications, & Educational Requirements

• All SafeStreets employees must be at least 18 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have very effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to see and hear; write and speak the English language.
• Alarm industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Current valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Compensation

SafeStreets compensation may include base pay and, for eligible roles, variable compensation or bonuses. Variable and bonus compensation is not guaranteed and is governed by applicable plan terms. All compensation is paid in compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including applicable minimum wage and overtime requirements. Variable pay is defined as a performance-based compensation structure and will be shared in a separate compensation plan.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and any additional security clearances or licenses required for the role, including applicable state licensing requirements.
