Mobile Crisis Services Team Lead

Badlands BHC is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist Mobile Crisis Lead in the Dickinson, ND area.This position is eligible for 11% Crisis Differential Pay in addition to base salary.Sign on Bonus minimum of $15,000Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Crisis Lead to oversee and coordinate real-time mobile crisis response services for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. The Mobile Crisis Lead provides direct clinical support during field responses, supervises crisis clinicians, and ensures service delivery aligns with trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-centered care practices.This role is ideal for a licensed clinician (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) with strong leadership skills, field experience, and a passion for crisis stabilization in community-based settings.In a typical week, you will:Lead and supervise the daily operations of mobile crisis response teams, including deployment, safety, and triageProvide clinical oversight and support to staff in the field during high-acuity callsEnsure appropriate crisis assessments, de-escalation techniques, and safety planning are conductedServe as point-of-contact for law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, shelters, and other community partners during mobile crisis engagementsReview clinical documentation for quality and complianceMonitor staff schedules, respond to shift gaps, and participate in the on-call rotationTrain and mentor new crisis responders and interns as neededParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiativesMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and agency protocolsYou will thrive in this position if you are committed to a rehabilitative and person-centered philosophy, comfortable providing services in homes and communities, are flexible and adaptable to change.Work Environment & Schedule:Flexible shifts with evening/weekend availability required for coverageSome on-call responsibilities requiredField-based work with occasional office-based administrative dutiesLocation This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.About HHS ND HHS strives to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation by reinforcing the foundations of wellbeing: physical, economic, and behavioral. Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this position, you are required to have a master’s degrees in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC, Or a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling this position at a reduced rate:As a Human Relations Counselor, which requires a master's degree in Social Work and licensure as a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners;OR a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) by the ND Board of Counselor Examiners OR licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners. Will also consider those with a master’s degree in Counseling and licensure as a LAPC, if the applicant is far enough along with the process to obtain their LPCC within two years from the date of hire.
