About the Role:
As an Infant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the early development of children aged six weeks to twelve months. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of infants. You will implement age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and learning, while also fostering secure attachments with each child. Collaboration with parents and caregivers will be essential to ensure a consistent approach to each child's development. Ultimately, your efforts will lay the foundation for lifelong learning and social skills in the children you teach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with infants or young children in a childcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with developmental assessments and individualized education plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of infants.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
- Create a safe and clean classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Facilitate daily activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and social interaction.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.

The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for building relationships with both infants and their families. Patience and adaptability are crucial as you will be working with children who have varying needs and developmental stages. Organizational skills will help you manage lesson plans and daily activities effectively. Preferred skills such as knowledge of child development theories will enhance your ability to create appropriate learning experiences. Additionally, proficiency in basic health and safety practices will ensure a secure environment for the children in your care.
