We are honored to offer behavioral healthcare services in Corrections Perks of working in correctional healthcare: Opportunity to make a positive impact on a marginalized population Exposure to diverse patient demographics Focus on driving change, tracking progress, and improving care Development of skills in a unique healthcare setting Location: Jackson Correctional Institution 5563 10th St, Malone, FL 32445 The Clinical Support Technician is responsible for: Supervises clients’ therapeutic and recreational activities, monitors client break periods and movement, including intervening to control or channel inappropriate behaviors, taking census counts, etc. Reports client observations, incidents, unusual occurrences, or missing clients to appropriate personnel and records improvement / progress. Upon successful completion of the required internal training, provides didactic sessions according to designated curricula within the program. May present life skills classes to assist clients with basic education on these topics. Guides and assists clients in complying with program/institutional rules and regulations. Notifies appropriate personnel of clients failing to comply with program/institutional policies and rules. Maintains and updates client records, including recording service hours, therapeutic treatments, activity or group participation, and so forth; in accordance with contractual requirements. Serves as member of the treatment team providing input to treatment plans, conflict intervention processes or privileges. Assists team in maintaining consistent setting for treatment. Performs variety of related office and technical duties as necessary such as answering telephones, relaying messages, responding to inquiries regarding program services and policies, filing, photocopying and scanning documents, assembling intake packets, participating in client activities to promote socialization, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalency Two (2) years of prior experience in the behavioral health field.
