Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6-week contract length
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically within critical care and acute care cluster
• Every 2-3 weekends required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday rotation)
• Every other holiday required
• Call pickup is permitted but not required; 1-hour response time if picking up call
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; unit may request 4 or 8-hour increments of a shift
• Work in a 12-bed Cardiac ICU managing post-op hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock, induced hypothermia, and basic CICU cases
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for CRRT, 1:1 for Impella
• Perform frequent cardioversions, line placements, and line discontinuations within the unit
• Proficiency with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABPs, and post-op heart care required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to change
• Scrub colors: any color

This facility is a well-established hospital offering a comprehensive range of medical services, including a specialized 12-bed Cardiac ICU equipped to handle complex cardiac cases such as post-operative heart care, AMI, and cardiogenic shock. The facility provides advanced critical care capabilities and supports a collaborative environment where healthcare professionals are expected to float across inpatient units as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
