M&A Attorney for Legal AI Evaluation

Apply your M&A practice experience to improve how advanced AI systems review, interpret, and negotiate complex commercial agreements. This part-time remote contractor role focuses on legal AI workflows involving drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining in the technology sector. Role Overview

You will help train and evaluate AI used in real-world legal work, with a direct impact on how these systems identify contractual risk, interpret agreement language, and produce more precise, legally informed outputs.

• Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to improve performance and output precision.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for consistent, rigorous assessment of AI contract work.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to improve data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm.
• Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including asset purchase agreements (APAs) and stock purchase agreements (SPAs).
• Experience with contract negotiations and redlining.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

• Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
• Experience working with private equity firms.

$80 to $105 per hour.
