This is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, scheduled from Friday to Sunday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities- Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment under general supervision to obtain routine radiographs of specified body areas, following physician instructions and radiographic protocols.
- Apply radiology expertise to serve patients of all ages while adhering to radiation safety guidelines and organizational policies. Demonstrate proficiency in general radiology and fluoroscopy by acquiring and assessing ordered images for technical quality, ensuring accurate patient identification and image labeling.
- Engage in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at improving workflows, patient experiences, quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Participate actively in training and educational activities for students and staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including preparing and cleaning patient rooms. Ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available in the assigned area.
- Communicate effectively with patients to gather medical histories, answer inquiries, and explain procedures to ensure their understanding and comfort.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment by conducting quality control activities and promptly reporting any equipment or environmental issues.
- Provide education and support to patients, preparing them for procedures and addressing their physical and emotional needs. Escalate concerns through appropriate channels when necessary.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate care through regular communication with patients, the care team, and families. Document patient care activities in electronic health record systems and ensure timely distribution of final images to the PACS system for interpretation.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism in actions and communication, embodying the organization's values and fostering a respectful and supportive atmosphere for patients, families, and colleagues. Comply with the ARRT Standards of Ethics.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with federal, state, professional, and accreditation requirements.
- Adhere to leadership directives, ensuring compliance with established protocols, maintaining patient flow, and seeking clarification when needed.
- Associate's degree is required; or
- A certificate in Radiologic Technology (awarded before January 1, 2015) from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) is required.
- No prior work experience is necessary.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required upon hire in Maryland; must be obtained within 90 days of hire in Washington, D.C.
- Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state (Maryland or Virginia) is required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
The salary range for this position is: USD $29.73 - USD $48.63 per hour.
