Construction Site Superintendent in Somerville

Job Description We are currently seeking a Construction Site Superintendent for a full-time direct hire position with our construction client in Somerville, NJ. 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in medical construction with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) experience highly. The Site Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on projects ranging from medical offices and outpatient centers to ground-up multifamily residential buildings. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a hands‑on approach, and a proven track record managing active construction sites safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Manage on-site construction activities from start to finish. Supervise subcontractors, labor, and vendors to ensure performance meets plans and specs. Maintain and enforce job site safety protocols and OSHA compliance. Coordinate inspections, resolve field issues, and communicate with all stakeholders. Keep accurate site documentation including daily reports and photo logs. Lead weekly subcontractor and coordination meetings. Support quality control efforts and proactively manage punchlist items. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in medical, residential, or ground-up commercial construction. Deep understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and sequencing. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Previous experience with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment). Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, or other construction software. OSHA 30 certification. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
