Key Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Educate patients and significant others regarding care, treatment, and health management
• Accurately document patient care in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active or ability to obtain Oregon RN license prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• TNCC certification
• PALS certification (AHA) — certifications must be active or candidate must be willing to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a full-service, acute care hospital environment serving patients of all ages
• Familiarity with a broad range of specialty medical services including pediatrics, oncology, or geriatric medicine
