ECE Instructional Assistant stipend $1.00 per hour. Exceptional Child Education programs are designed to meet the learning needs of students with disabilities. The district provides high‑quality instruction using individualized approaches for students with moderate to severe disabilities, mild mental disabilities, other health impairments, emotional behavioral disabilities, autism, visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, social communication difficulties, or combinations of these areas. Scope of Responsibilities Recognizes that all responsibilities are supportive. Assists in implementing each student’s individual education plan, helps establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment, and demonstrates willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Paraeducator Exam) or 48 college semester hours. Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities. Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
