MA or LPN, Impact Center of MooresvilleThe MA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) of Franciscan works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and physicians in the clinic setting. This position contributes to the assessment of the health status of individuals, participating in the development of the plan of care, implementing the appropriate care methods, and maintaining a safe and effective environment for all.MA or LPN, Impact Center of Mooresville, Part-time, 30 hours per week (8-330) Monday through Thursday.Plan and manage patient care according to each patient's needs, and in collaboration with the Physician and Registered Nurse.Interview patients and record their medical history.Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.Administer prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' charts.Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.Qualifications:Required Associate's Degree Licensed Practical Nurse ProgramRequired Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse Program1 year LPN or related experience PreferredBasic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart AssociationLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensing BoardTravel is required: Never or RarelyEqual Opportunity EmployerIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
