Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Familiarity with various teaching strategies for students with disabilities
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ individual needs, as outlined in IEPs
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse abilities and learning styles in the classroom
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records while regularly assessing and reporting on growth
  • Collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and parents to ensure best practices and consistent support for each learner
  • Provide guidance and advocacy for students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic development
