Job Summary: The GI Scope Technician is a certified/non-licensed healthcare provider employed by Erlanger Medical Center is responsible for direct and/or indirect care in the GI Endoscopy Center. (A registered or a licensed practical nurse may apply and work in a Patient Care Technician position, but must function within the guidelines, skills, and pay grade outlined for the Patient Care Technician.)

Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Nursing Assistant Certified by the State of Tennessee preferred, OR nursing student completing or near completion of Fundamentals of Nursing, EMT, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant.

Experience: Required: N/A Preferred: Medical background preferred but not required

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward Preferred: N/A
