Role Overview The ECMO Specialist manages the daily operation of the ECMO program, ensuring optimal circuit function and safety during patient care. Responsibilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain ECMO equipment Administer blood products and medications accurately Collaborate with bedside nurses to ensure patient stability and proper parameters Manage CRRT when connected Assist in physical and occupational therapy Perform quality control, preventative maintenance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives Key Duties Support emergency situations Contribute to transport of ECMO patients Assist other departments as needed Engage in ongoing education and professional development Help review quality metrics to establish best practices Qualifications & Skills Graduate of accredited Respiratory Therapy or Nursing program with current licensure Minimum 2 years ICU experience Preferred ECMO experience and Primer training Certifications include BLS, PALS, ACLS, and appropriate licensure (RRT or RN) Ability to operate motor vehicle as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
