Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Jackson, Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. The nurse will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Jackson, Michigan
• Schedule: 13-week contract with night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. - At least 2+ recent years' experience in a Progressive Care Unit, Stepdown, or Telemetry. - Experience with medication drips.
• Additional Information:
  • Skills include clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
