Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU 2:00pm - 8:00pm SUN 9:00am - 4:00pm Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast paced warehouse! Working as a DC Export, you will coordinate and execute the hands-on tasks required for international trade, including product assessment and receipt, quality control, shipment generation and compliance checks. This is an entry level position that will allow you to work closely with multiple internal departments, broadening your knowledge of Fastenal's product fulfillment capabilities.

This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Receiving, auditing, inspecting, scanning, packing & shipping product while maintaining traceability
• Operating computer programs & wireless hand held devices
• Executing multiple receiving, inspection, or shipping requests at different stages
• Completing required training within the training period
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Possess experience in inventory management, logistics or operations

Prior experience using basic measuring equipment & inspection tools

Prior experience operating a forklift
