We’re seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Clinical Educator (Operating Room) to lead staff development, drive competency, and enhance patient outcomes across perioperative services. What You’ll Do Assess, develop, and manage clinical competencies for OR nursing and support staff Design and deliver education programs aligned with best practices and organizational goals Serve as a clinical expert and resource for perioperative staff Support orientation, onboarding, and ongoing development of new hires and nurse residents Partner with leadership to evaluate staff performance and learning needs Drive quality improvement initiatives and incorporate data into education strategies Promote adherence to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements Support patient care delivery through education, coaching, and mentorship Participate in research and performance improvement efforts Serve as a role model in clinical practice, professionalism, and patient advocacy What You Bring 3+ years of acute care experience in Operating Room or perioperative services Strong background in clinical education, training, or staff development Advanced clinical knowledge and ability to mentor and influence staff Experience with quality improvement and performance initiatives Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills Requirements AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days Preferred ANCC certification in specialty area Why VPH High-impact leadership role in clinical education Opportunity to shape OR practice and staff development Mission-driven healthcare organization Collaborative and innovative clinical environment Apply today to lead education and clinical excellence in the Operating Room at VPH.
