Security Shift Supervisor

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects all patrons, Team Members, and company assets.

Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of Team Members and guests, supervising programs and processes to reduce and control lost-time injuries, assisting in recruitment process, including job posting and recruiting metrics, delegating duties and assign responsibilities to staff, completing and processing performance reviews, assisting in development of Team Members, conducting interviews, and participating in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention and termination process, investigating incidents and/or guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting, scheduling rotation of officers throughout officer posts, conducting training with officers, ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift, and other duties as assigned.

Required skills and abilities include management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness, maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel, oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual, and willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.

Education and experience include one to three years of experience as a security guard/law enforcement agent with a 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred. Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Physical requirements and working conditions include frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The Team Member is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
