Ultrasound Technologist - $40-57 per hour

Overview UCHealth in Aurora, Colorado is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to perform sonography in accordance with scope of practice and organizational policies. Responsibilities Review patient history, physicians' orders and schedule appointments. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes. Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures. Troubleshoot, resolve, or report equipment malfunctions. Position patient and perform imaging procedures. Analyze results, identify image quality issues, and take appropriate action including repositioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. May work with radiology students. Apply critical thinking, decisive judgment, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS, or certified in Sonography (S) by ARRT. State licensure if required. BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer) card before start date; must be valid at hire.
