Position Overview Position Overview The Marine Coordinator supports projects through coordinating among various departments within the business from project kickoff, throughout implementation, to completion. This position also provides cross-project support by interfacing with the quality team, factory staff, and project managers. Duties/Responsibilities (Include No More Than 10 Bullet Points)Assist the Senior Manager, Marine Coordination & Implementation with:Creating and maintaining project documentation that is used for customer presentations including client presentation support – Power Point slide gathering, collating and formatting. Process improvement initiatives: forward looking analysis of ship schedules, developing enhanced tracking tools for goods from time of shipment to end destination (early identification of project-specific export paperwork requirements: interface with factory (Shipping Authorization), load EICs/MES (as built SLDs), PMs (pricing), and logistics (IOR, Agents, etc)). Other ISO-focused support on behalf of broader marine coordinator team such as QC for customer-facing documentation (reviewing presentations, permitting project briefs, SOWs, MOPs, etc). Planning and delivering daily progress reports when required and other support for customer contract deliverablesA longer-term objective is to develop a process that could further automate Marine Coordinator inputs to the export commercial invoice creation. Management of spares inventory trackers on behalf of the client. Assist Marine Coordinators and Project Managers with specific project tasks. Some examples include:Fuel true-up analysisMarine true-up analysisMeeting attendance Other general tasks (assist in data transfer between SubCom and 3rd party contractors.)Maintain Marine Coordinator (and other as needed) share point sites to ensure content is kept current and organizedAssist in generating and maintaining purchase requisitions for the various groups within marine services.Skills/Abilities (Include No More Than 10 Bullet Points)Minimum 5 years of experience Completion of a higher education degree or a technical/vocational programExperience with Math & Statistics, Computer OperationsProficient verbal and written communicationsCritical thinking aptitude (problem solving and identifying areas for improvement)Proficiency in MS Office applications, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft project a plus.Ability to work well in group / collaborative settings.
