Base Pay $17.00 - $18.30 / Hour Relocation Expense Covered No Employee Type Full Time Required Degree High school Manage Others No Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) Location: La Grange, KY (Cedar Lake Enrichment Center & Residential Services) Reports to: CLEC Supervisor Schedule Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (35 hours/week) Additional hours, evenings, or weekends may be required based on program needs and/or outings. About the Role The Day Program DSP supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured daytime setting. This role focuses on engaging participants in meaningful activities that promote independence, social skills, and overall well-Being. This position works as part of the Enrichment Center team and may provide support to multiple participants throughout the program. Activities, support, and assistance will be based on individual need. This role must function as a member of the Enrichment Center team and as such may provide supplementary assistance to any individual served by the program. Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and recording of progress of individual participant’s Adult Day Program activities plans with the goals of maximizing each participant’s physical, emotional, social skills and abilities. Coaches or assists participants with daily living skills, assists with or provides personal hygiene needs. Document within each participant’s record the extent and level of participation in the activities and progress towards goals. Ensures program notes and all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Attendance at and participation in meetings as directed for the purpose of establishing goals, coordinating programs, and developing long range plans with each individual. Assist with coordination, planning and scheduling various participant field trips, outings, special events, etc. Assist with direct supervision of events as appropriate. Attend and participate in new employee orientation In-Service meetings as scheduled in the absence of the Adult Day Program Coordinator. Provide In-Service training to staff as appropriate. Attend staff meetings and individual meetings with supervisor as scheduled. Drive vehicles, as necessary, to provide transportation for activities. Enforce and maintain safety during all activities. Maintain compliance with all regulations, including, but not limited to ADHP, SCL, HCB, MPW and any other Medicaid Waiver. Perform other related work as assigned. What sets you apart High school diploma/GED is required. One-year experience working with individuals with ID/DD is strongly preferred. What your typical schedule looks like Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm, Full-time, 35 hours/week. Weekends, evenings, and additional hours required as necessary. Normal working conditions most often occur in a day training setting with occasional work in the community at various businesses and residential settings with moderate noise level.
