Duties and Responsibilities: The Warehouse Lead Person is responsible for performing a variety of tasks as assigned by the Distribution Unit Manager and/or Distribution Unit Supervisor in order to coordinate daily operations, motivating employees and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires that the employee perform all essential duties as assigned which shall include the following: Coordinating daily activities of warehouse personnel. Monitoring UCS Ship Manager for daily pick weight. Assigning daily pick weight to pickers and following their progress. Moving around the warehouse floor to ensure accurate picking and quality building of unit in carts. Coordinating daily cycle counts with the Distribution Unit Manager and/or Supervisor. Responsible for compliance with employee safety programs. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job. Such other duties and assignments that shall be made from time to time to employee from any member of the Company's management. Requirements: Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary. Must be able to learn to operate an order picker/tug or other material handling equipment and be certified and licensed after training. Must possess the ability operate a handheld computer unit for the inventory picking and/or receiving processes with minimal training. Must be able to report to work on time as required by the schedule. Must be able to communicate and work with a small group of other employees as well as work independently at times with minimal supervision. Must wear safety shoes at all times and safety glasses with side shields when banding materials or operating equipment. Physical Demands: Lift and carry loads up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch kneel, push/pull material, and operate material handling equipment as required. Frequently use both feet and both hands. Firm grasping and fine manipulation with both hands as necessary.
