RN - TELE

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) shifts available. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a variety of settings, potentially floating to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
• Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applied for.
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required.
• Active Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Must have successfully passed ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation.
