Medical Receptionist OpportunityTimberlane Lane Pediatrics is looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position is in our Burlington, VT location. Full or part-time positions available.We are a patient/family-centric pediatric office, and the Practice Support Specialist is an integral part of the health care team as they are the first and last point of contact with our patient population.Hours:Monday through Friday 8:15am to 5:15 pmThis position also requires Saturday hours on a rotating basis. 8:15am to 12:15pmIt is imperative that the Practice Support Specialist carries themselves in a professional, helpful, sincere manner. Communication skills to include verbal, non-verbal and written must be of the highest quality.The Practice Support Specialist must be well versed on office scheduling policies and protocols, comfortable serving as an intermediary between the patient and the Timber Lane Pediatrics administration and clinical staff.Responsibilities:Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone at all 3 sitesAnswer and handle incoming calls or direct calls and inquiries appropriatelyAccurately schedule patient appointmentsFacilitate patient flow by communicating late arrivals and delays with clinical staffSort and distribute incoming mail and faxesCheck in/ Check out patients at all 3 sitesCollect all necessary patient information, demographics and insuranceCollect all money due at check in, copays or past due balancesMake calls to collect money due on delinquent accountsDaily cash-out and reconciliation of monies receivedCompile and request completion of required paperwork for new patientsWork as a team player and support strategic visionOffer new ideas to increase accuracy and efficiencyActively attend and participate in staff meetingsKeeps up to date with trainingsOther duties as assignedJob Type: Full-timePay: From $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8-hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayRotating SaturdayWork Location: In person
