Position Summary The Member Experience Associate is primarily responsible for delivering outstanding service and value to our Members through genuine care, personal service, and meeting needs and expectations across multiple branch locations. In addition to delivering service, MEAs are directly accountable for achieving individual sales targets. This position rotates between branches depending on business needs. The role is a full‑time, onsite position at AAA Hanford that includes Saturday work and a 5‑day week. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Perform fundamental customer interactions including Member Services and product sales. Adhere to branch operations in accordance with standard operating procedures and compliance (Member Experience, Member Services, Concierge, DMV/MVD, Auto, Travel, Unlicensed Insurance Services, Smart Home Security). Meet individual sales goals and apply consultative sales techniques to uncover needs, present solutions, and close opportunities. Promote AAA products and services to achieve individual and branch goals, reinforcing the value of Membership regardless of location. Identify and recommend relevant solutions, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to each branch environment. Adapt quickly to multiple product lines, services, and systems to provide seamless service wherever assigned. Coordinate shifts across multiple locations and cover Saturdays as required. Knowledge & Skills Customer Service : Professional and friendly attitude, problem‑solving resolution, ability to adapt to different branch teams and Member bases, agility in communication style, and consistent enhancement of Membership value. Sales : Demonstrated strong sales skills, ability to meet or exceed goals, active listening, adaptable thinker, and strong communicator; proficient in consultative selling and retaining existing business. Technical : Proficient with multiple computer systems and applications; quickly adapts to varying system configurations or processes across branches. Operational Excellence : Ensures process implementation, compliance with SOPs, end‑to‑end flow efficiencies, and daily engagement with broader business objectives. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 2‑4 years of work experience, with at least 1 year in a sales role. Sales experience is required. Backgrounds in insurance, retail, hospitality, service industries, or call centers highly valued. Current and valid Driver’s License. Bonding/fingerprinting and P&C licensing may be required depending on branch needs. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding defined sales standards and goals. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills; willingness to travel and cover multiple locations. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Branch office environments with standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods. Flexibility with work shifts and travel between locations, including Saturdays. Physical: standing, sitting, bending and lifting up to 15 pounds. Approximately 98% of time spent using a video display terminal; 50‑80% on a personal computer. Potential travel by car, plane, or other transportation for business meetings. Compensation & Incentives Starting rates vary by region, from $23.00 to $26.95 per hour. The role includes commissions and participation in an incentive plan. Most employees earn between $270 and $3,500 in incentives annually, contingent on performance.
