The Receiving Work Leader is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving operations for fresh flowers, ensuring product is accurately offloaded, inspected, and processed. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate daily receiving operations, including offloading, breakdown, labeling, and check-in of inbound shipments
• Monitor team performance to ensure accuracy, proper handling of perishable products, and effective use of RF scanning equipment
• Partner with replenishment, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure timely product flow and resolution of discrepancies
• Communicate receiving issues, including quantity or temperature discrepancies, to appropriate teams
• Conduct daily team huddles to review performance, priorities, and workload expectations
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including dock lock procedures and equipment inspections
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of receiving and material handling areas
• Track and report daily receiving metrics and approve team timekeeping

Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment. The position requires lifting up to 5060 pounds and working with perishable products in a temperature-controlled environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively across departments Proficiency in warehouse systems (Apprise preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment Knowledge of handling perishable goods (fresh flowers or similar products preferred) Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
